Synopsis
Strong ties aren't easily broken... First loves have the ability to fill us with hope and then shatter us when they end. Some people can pick up the pieces and move on. Others simply learn how to exist as a fragment of the person that they used to be. Shane “Mack” MacAllister is one of the ones simply existing. His wife Ella died at a young age, leaving him alone and broken. Shane knew he’d never be able to give himself to another, believing there was nothing left to give. That is until a young, feisty doctor blazed into his life and made him rethink letting someone into what’s left of his tattered heart. Dr. Megan Huntley has devoted her life to taking care of others, ever since her twin sister was brutally murdered. She might not have been able to save her sister, but she has made it her mission to help other victims. Long hours in the Emergency Room and volunteer work at the Rape Crisis Center leave little time for relationships. When Megan meets the rugged and handsome Shane MacAllister, she decides to throw caution to the wind and take the police detective for a ride. Too bad she can’t get him out of her head… or her life. Will Shane and Megan be bound together by true love? Or will past loves and tragedy tear them apart?
**Bound in Blue can be read as a standalone**

Excerpt
**Disclaimer: This content is unedited and subject to change** Copyright © Jessica Ingro   When the engine on my Harley stopped purring, I put the stand down and took off my helmet. Staring at Megan’s brownstone I wondered what the fuck I was doing there. It had been hours since I left the station and I successfully talked myself out of seeing her numerous times. There was no talking myself out of it now. Something inside me needed to see her. Maybe it was hearing John say her sister’s death ate at her every day; knowing that I had a kindred spirit in her. Maybe it was the urge to bury myself inside her tight, wet heat and forget everything except how she made me feel. Maybe it was the way her eyelids fluttered when she came down from an orgasm. Or maybe it was the way her touch soothed me and made me ache for more than just the occasional fuck. Whatever it was, it had me walking up to her front door and hoping she wouldn’t ask too many questions. I wasn’t ready to have to dig deep and find the answers to those questions. After the second knock, she opened the door. Her face was makeup free, her hair falling across her shoulders and past her breasts. She had on a skimpy yellow tank top and short white shorts. Her tanned legs looked soft and smooth and in that moment I wanted nothing more than to have them wrapped around my back. “Mack?” She asked with a mixture of concern and surprise in her voice. Instead of answering her, I put my hands on either side of her face and kissed her. My tongue touched her lips and she immediately opened for me. She tasted even better than I remembered. Still kissing her, I walked forward forcing her to walk back into the house. When we got to the stairs, I swept her up in my arms and hoofed it up to her bedroom on the third floor, only breaking the seal of our lips when necessary. Once in her room, I set Megan on the bed and used the weight of my body to push her down on her back. Covering her with my body, my hands moved with purpose over her skin. One hand cupped her breast, while the other groped her ass. She moaned and pressed her breast further into my palm. Her beaded nipple was begging for attention. Fuck, but I needed her. Not wanting to waste any more time, I made quick work of undressing us both. Once she was laid out before me, I fought back a groan at how fucking beautiful she was. And so damn perfect. She looked up at me with those beautiful brown eyes, submissively waiting for me to direct how things would go. That damn vulnerability and trust was my undoing. I lost all composure, positioned and buried myself to the hilt. Her arms and legs wrapped around my body, tightly holding me to her as I pumped in and out. My eyes fought rolling back into my head with how damn good she felt. That’s when I realized I didn’t wrap my dick. Slowing my thrusts—because shit it felt too good to stop—I asked her, “You on the pill, buttercup?” Her eyes blinked, a haze of lust and need clouding them. “What?” She asked breathlessly. “I asked if you’re on the pill. I’m inside you bareback, baby. Is that okay?” “Oh,” she murmured. “We’re covered. Now can you go faster?” I chuckled, but quickly obliged her. It wasn’t long before she was moaning and I could feel her muscles contracting right before she came. “Mack,” she cried out. “Shane,” I corrected her. “What?” She asked with a confused look on her face. It was rather quite adorable. “When I’m inside you, you call me Shane,” I told her. Why? I have no idea. This certainly wasn’t discouraging her from thinking this was more than it was. I never let anyone call me Shane when I fucked them. Not since Ella. Blocking the thought from my head, I buried myself deep and circled my hips, hitting her swollen, sensitive clit. “Shane,” she breathed as her climax hit her. Her nails scored my back and I made a mental note to let her have free reign more often.

Synopsis
The 29th of February, the day I was born.

When I wake up on this day, I’m in a different city, with a different life and no memory of the lives I had before this one. Today is the tenth time this has happened to me. The tenth time I’ve had to figure out where the hell I am. The tenth time I’ve had to try and work out who the hell I am. This is the tenth alteration of the person I am. Each of us has had different lives, different backgrounds and different families. But there’s always been one constant.

Him.

He’s the reason I keep doing this. He’s the reason I spend four years searching. If I’m lucky, I’ll get the trigger and find him quickly and we can spend those four years together before I disappear again. If I’m not, we might get a year, a month or even just a day. Once we got nothing, but that was a choice.

And every time it happens, he patiently waits for me. He says that every time I come back to him, it’s like falling in love with me all over again. I say that every time I come back, I fall even more in love with him than before.

It scares me that one day I won't be able to find him at all, because when that day comes, I'm not sure I'll want to keep going. He is my strength, my protector, my one and only constant.

I love him.
He loves me.
But every four years, I lose myself.
And every four years, I have to find him.
This is our story.

Excerpt
“Aren’t you supposed to be studying,” Ben asks, never stopping the sit-ups he’s doing on the floor of his bedroom. I’m sprawled out on his bed supposedly doing some study for my English final tomorrow, but more distracted by what’s going on in front of me. I smile at him. “I am studying,” I say, knowing it’s true, even if it’s not exactly the stuff I’m supposed to be studying. Ben smiles as he does a couple more sit-ups before collapsing back on the floor, his hands behind his head as he stares up at me. “You sure about that?” he asks. I stare at him lying on the floor beside me. I still can’t believe how unbelievably gorgeous he looks in this life. Can’t get over the fact that Ben is all mine. “Evie, babe,” Ben says, still smiling. “What are you thinking about?” he asks, a question which seems to come up a lot these days. I’m sure the look on my face gives me away, but I tell him anyway. “You.” Ben’s smile gets wider. “Oh yeah,” he says, that cheeky grin out in full force. “What about me?” I smile as I slide off the bed and onto the floor, crawling towards him. “How good you look,” I whisper, as I lean down to kiss him. Ben kisses me back as he says, “Good? Just good?” I can’t help but laugh as I slide my hand up and under his sweaty t-shirt. I feel his stomach contract at my touch and it only highlights all the firmness of his muscles, the warm, tight skin that covers them. “Really good?” I suggest. Ben laughs now, his eyes still watching me. I’m staring at my hand, watching it as my fingers slowly pull his t-shirt higher. His skin is covered in sweat and I watch my fingers slide over his stomach, tracing the outline of his hips, the trail of hair that leads from his belly button and lower down. I still haven’t found out how far down it goes and right now, that’s the only thing I’m thinking about. As my fingers brush along his waistband, Ben groans, and I notice the tightness in the front of his track pants. Unable to resist, I lower my hand, my fingers caressing him on the outside of the fabric. He’s already hard and I can’t help but bite my bottom lip, mesmerised by the fact that I can do this to him. “Evie, what are you doing, baby?” Ben whispers, his voice strained as though he’s trying to keep himself under control. What I am doing is a risk, but right now, it’s one I’m willing to take. I glance up at his face and see his eyes are closed. With my hand still on his crotch, I lean in and press a kiss to his lips. “I’m studying,” I whisper.

Behind every beautiful thing, there is some kind of pain...

Always overlooked. Always just there. That's what Dillon was to me.

Until one night.

In one night she flipped my world on its axis and there's no going back. But she has secrets, and secrets fester like an open wound. They color the past and forecast the future, but I'm determined to open her up; free her from her memories so she can live in the light and have the life she deserves.

It's just too bad that she wants nothing to do with me. But I'm nothing if not persistent and I'm not a man that gives up without a fight. I've had a taste and there's no walking away.

“I guess I should have talked to you about…the other weekend. I get the sense that you wanted to do those things to me. Fair assumption?” Fair.” I nodded, afraid of the next words to come out of her mouth. “Well, I’m not sure I’m into that. It looks pretty fucking terrifying.” “It’s all about trust. I’ll never take you farther than you want to go.” She huffed and averted her hardened gaze. “I have issues with that.” “No shit.” I mumbled. Her eyes cut to mine. “I read you like a book, Dillon. You think I didn’t realize that you have trust issues when you can't even look me in the eye when I’m inside you?” I ran a lock of her champagne hair between my callused fingers.  She scrunched her nose and looked out to white-capped waves crashing against grey stone.  “I want to earn your trust.” I took a step closer. “Who says I want you to? I never asked you to. We were just messing around, Slade. If you hadn’t noticed, I mess around with a lot of people.” Red flames licked my vision. My fists clenched at my sides and every muscle in my body went rigid. “You still fucking around with other people?” “If I was?” “Fuck, Dillon. I haven’t been with anyone since we started–” “Started what? Started fucking? I’m just the town slut. Down for a fun time, nothing more. Surprised one of your buddies didn't warn you not to get involved with me.”  “Oh, they did.” I grumbled, thinking back on Wild's warning not to get wrapped up in Dillon. Too little, too late. That ship had sailed.  She arched full eyebrows at me, gnawed her lips between her teeth until they turned winter white while anger flared in her indignant eyes. “Don’t fucking come back to my house, Slade. Don’t fucking do it. From the beginning you've acted like you have some sort of macho bullshit claim on me, why is that?” She nailed me with her pointer finger. “Because you’re mine.”     Adriane Leigh WILD series

Excerpt
“Kiss him, kiss him!” I heard my friends chanting in the distance. Oh, God. What was I going to do? I couldn’t let them down or I’d never live it down. I’d come this far. Without overthinking, I blindly ran my hands over my victim’s face. His skin was soft with a fine layer of silky stubble, and his features were distinct and defined—a straight manly nose, a strong, slightly clefted chin, and above it, a set of lush, velvety lips. I lingered on his lips, tracing them with my fingertips, building up the courage to touch down on them with my own.  “I hope you don’t mind, but I’m playing a game of Truth or Dare, and I have to kiss you.” God, how ridiculous I must sound and look with my blindfold. I took my victim’s silence as a sign he was willing to play along. Okay, here goes. Clutching his angular jaw between my hands, I bent down to kiss him. But before I could latch my lips onto his, he rose and, in one swift move, crashed his lips onto mine. Oh. My. God. A heat wave shot through me. It was one of those kisses like in a movie. Fierce, delicious, passionate. Opened mouth and oh so consuming. And he tasted divine—the sweet taste of champagne lacing his breath. He bit my upper lip, forcing me to part my lips, and plunged his warm, velvety tongue inside my mouth. His tongue instantly found mine and they entwined, dancing like they’d been together forever. He tugged hard on my ponytail, yanking back my head, and coiled it around his hand, tearing at my roots. The delicious pain mixed with the delicious pleasure of his kiss, sending a rush of erotic sensations through me. Every nerve ending was a sparking little fuse. My breathing grew shallow. Already lightheaded, I was now borderline delirious. I’d never been kissed by a man like this before. I didn’t want him to stop. What was wrong with me? I’d just gotten engaged. In the background, I could vaguely hear my friends cheering and whistling. “Go, girl!” For sure, head cheerleader Chaz. My inner voice told me to stop, but no matter how much I willed it, I couldn’t get my lips to part from his. In fact, I deepened the kiss, pulling him closer to me by the collar of his shirt. The material felt expensive, like the gazillion thread Egyptian cotton kind. Everything about this man tasted and felt divine. He squeezed my ponytail tighter. I moaned into his mouth and he moaned back. God, the throaty sound of him was sexy! And then suddenly, as fast as he had plunged his tongue into my mouth, he withdrew it. In tandem, he let go of my hair. I gasped, desperate for more. “Wait!” I cried out, my hands grappling for him. Instead of finding him, I found myself knocking over a chilled glass. My heightened sense of smell told me it was his champagne. “I’m sorry,” I croaked, struggling to tear off the tight, blinding tie. “I’ll buy you another glass.” Finally, I undid the tie. I blinked once. He was gone, and I was painfully all alone. Where did he go? My eyes frantically searched the pulsating crowd, darting left and right, but he was nowhere to be found. Even if he was facing me somewhere, staring into my eyes, I wouldn’t know it because I didn’t know what he looked like. My friends were now all standing and applauding me. I’d lived up to the dare. Kissed a strange man on the lips, Oh those lips!  Dazed, I staggered back to the group and dared not tell them how much I’d enjoyed it. And wanted more.

Synopsis
Stay up all night with the sexy rockers in Stage Dive, the epic rock star romance series from New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott, author of Lick and Play. As the lead singer of Stage Dive, Jimmy is used to getting whatever he wants, whenever he wants it, whether it's booze, drugs, or women. However, when a PR disaster serves as a wake-up call about his life and lands him in rehab, he finds himself with Lena, a new assistant to keep him out of trouble. Lena's not willing to take any crap from the sexy rocker and is determined to keep their relationship completely professional, despite their sizzling chemistry. But when Jimmy pushes her too far and Lena leaves, he realizes that he may just have lost the best thing that ever happened to him.

Excerpt
“Lena, you seen my old black Led Zep shirt?” “Nope.” “You sure?” His brows became one dark cranky line. The scratches on his face were healing well, thank goodness. Though it didn’t reduce my desire to throttle his mother on a daily basis. “Yes. I haven’t seen it.” Can’t find it anywhere…” “And this is a surprise, how?” I slipped my hands into my back jean’s pockets. “Jimmy, you own more clothing than Cher, Brittney, and Elvis, put together. Things are bound to go missing.” “Sure you haven’t seen it?” “For goodness sake, what do you think, Jimmy? That I stole it to sleep in or something?” I laughed bitterly. Sure as hell, the truth deserved a good mocking. I’d sunk so despicably low. I hadn’t even meant to steal the stupid thing, but the shirt had been mixed up with my laundry a few days ago. It’d been the first top I laid my hand on after stepping out of the shower, ready to go to bed. Without thought, I’d put it on and it’d been so soft, the scent of him lingering beneath the laundry detergent. Every night since, I’d found myself in it come bedtime. My shame knew no limits. And no, I still hadn’t quit. The words still hadn’t come even close to leaving my mouth. He frowned. “No.” “That I have some deep secret longing to feel close to you resulting in my stealing your shirt like some creepy perv?” “Course I don’t fucking think that,” he replied crankily, reaching up to grip the top of the doorframe. All of his bulging muscles stretched the arms of his white T-shirt in the nicest way. It was all I could do not to start drooling, my heart beat taking up residence somewhere down between my thighs. And who could blame it? Not me. Maybe if I got laid, this would go away and things would return to normal. It’d seemed safer to avoid rubbing up against any men just in case I got carried away and started dating again. This new situation, however, changed everything. “Well, of course not! That would be crazy.” And wasn’t that the god’s honest truth? Cray-zeee. Lock me up and throw away the key because it wasn’t like I didn’t know better. “Just can’t figure out where the hell it could be.” Angels couldn’t have smiled as innocently. They might have tried, but they would have failed, the dirty-mouthed, winged, little liars. “Jimmy, I don’t know where it is. But I’ll look around for it later, okay?” “Yeah,” he said, and then added as an afterthought, “and stop looking at me weird.” “I’m not!”

Synopsis
Lives intersect only to be changed indefinitely...

Lauren
This isn't your typical girl meets boy.
There isn't a glass slipper or Prince Charming.
I've lived it and now it will be told.
Welcome to my personal hell...

Derrick
I once saved lives and now... I so easily end them.

Women are drawn to me like a moth to the flame, and like the moth not all of them continue on. Some are broken, others are damaged, and a few never make it out... but it's their decision to live. Only they often don't know that until it's too late.

F*ck the rules, I create my own in a world where I have nothing left to lose. Living is a game, and I'm the reigning champion by being stronger and smarter than my prey.

This is your warning. If you radiate vulnerability... Well, you could be my next victim. Don't try to hide. I'm not easily eluded.

Abbot
It started with me and now it will end with me.
Some people call me an uncontrollable killing monster. I f*cking laugh at the mention of the word.
Monsters have no control.
I've got plenty.
I don't kill without reason. I don't kill the innocent.
I hunt the ones that deserve it, the real monsters, the ones without regret or a soul.

Prologue
The dream is always the same. A black van slows ahead of my sister and me as we walk home from school. When we pass, I hear the side door forcefully slide open and the hinges scream out in protest. Two men attack us. They grab us by our arms and their nails claw into our skin, causing it to break. We try to push them away and somehow manage to wriggle free. Then we run. We run like we've never run before, but they are always faster and stronger. When they catch up to us, one grabs my sister, pushes her down to the ground, and laughs. She bites his arm, leaving teeth marks and blood. This does no good though and only pisses him off. Then he slaps her in the face, yells at her, and threatens to kill her . . . but refuses to let go. They are relentless. I want to tell them that she is only ten years old, that she is no good to them, that she isn't even a woman yet, but a hand covers my mouth and an arm places me in a chokehold. My sister lets out blood-curdling cries, and all I know is that I need to save her. I kick my capturer in the knee, and he slams my body, then my head, into the cement until my vision blurs. I know I have a concussion from the brute force, but I continue to attack with everything that I have. No matter how hard I try, they take her. How can a twelve-year-old boy fight against men? He can't. I couldn't. When I think back to that day, I remember what the sky looked like after they pushed me down. It was blue like the color of the sea in Australia. Not often do I remember the sky in London being that color . . . or feeling so helpless. I'm often haunted by the look on my sister's face, and the sound of her screams and pleas as they shoved her into the van. I can still hear the revving of the engine as it hurried down the street like it was yesterday. That was the last time I felt fear. Those men stole more than my best friend and my sister. That day, they stole my soul. This time, I wake up dripping with sweat. Sometimes I am breathing rapidly or yelling, or my heart is racing so fast it pulls me from the nightmare. For the past fifteen years, I've been haunted with the memory of my sister's abduction. I used to blame myself for her having been taken. I no longer accept that burden, and I refuse to sit idly by. The underground darkness of London is at war with itself, and I've caused it. It will not end until the petty fucks that stalk my streets are destroyed. I will stop at nothing. Some people call me an uncontrollable killing monster. I fucking laugh at the mention of the word. Monsters have no control. I've got plenty. I don't kill without reason. I don't kill the innocent. I hunt the ones who deserve it—the real monsters, the ones without remorse or a soul. Sometimes people strive to be different, to step out of the fucking box, only to be misunderstood. The public doesn't understand me, but who really gives a shit? Who are they? Mice. They go to work every single day and spin the same wheel that gets them nowhere. Work. Marriage. Kids. Die. I search for adventure. I love control. When I find trouble, I make it my bitch. Most people call me Abbot. First name isn't needed. I truly believe there is power in a name. My friends respect me, my enemies fear me, and regardless of what I do, at the end of the day I am still a killer. Apparently, that's what defines me. Son, brother, leader of the Gang of London, protector, murderer . . . the only word that matters is the last one. Shakespeare said, "All the world's a stage." If that's true, then where is my standing ovation for a job well done? Twisted fucks like me don't receive positive recognition. We don't deserve to be rewarded for ridding the world of horrible people, because being a murderer outweighs all the good. An eye for an eye, a finger for a finger, or blood for blood. What-the-fuck-ever. I'm not fucked-up from a horrible childhood, unless one counts my sister's abduction. Everyone tries to blame my life choices on my parents' guidance, but my actions are by choice. My mum and dad loved and supported me. They told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, until I became what I am today—a cold-hearted killer. No one expected that one.

Excerpt
After a few seconds, a strange sensation started spreading through my body. I lifted my eyes from the photos and my heart stopped. The blood drained from my face and I was pretty certain I was going to pass out. Ink boy was standing not three feet away from me. He had that perfect, sexy grin on his face and he was obviously happy to find me here. ''Are you stalking me now, princess?'' ''Princess?'' I repeated, with a quirk of my eyebrow. ''I know, I know. Geez, I’m sorry. What are you doing here...? Phoenix?'' he asked in an alluring voice. The sound of his voice was so different here, without the club music pulsing in the background. ''What do you think I'm here for, Levi?'' ''Are you always so feisty?'' His voice sent shivers all over my body. I nodded. ''My turn to say sorry - I never know how to act around you. You’re so... different.'' ''Different? Is that all?'' he asked cockily, his lips turning up in that damn smirk. ''You have the worst pickup lines I've ever heard.'' I tried very hard not to, but I smiled for a split-second. It didn't matter that I tried to suppress it - he saw me. ''Was that a smile I saw on your lips?'' he grinned, stepping closer. ''What do you want from me?'' I asked. Why did we pick this shop? Of all the tattoo shops we could have gone to, we had to pick the one place where he hung out? What were the odds? ''You're the one who's here, in my shop, so I should be asking you what you want. Are you here for a tattoo?'' ''They're all here for a tattoo. Stop harassing my client, jackass.'' The tattoo artist who was prepping Bekka turned to grumble at Levi. Irritated, Levi looked at the tattoo artist. ''No,” he began, shaking his head. “This one is mine, Kyle. I’ll be the only one marking her.'' Levi turned back to me. ''What are you getting tonight? I’ll be taking care of you.'' I thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest. ''A star. A pink star. He has the design,” I said, my voice trembling slightly, as I nodded toward Kyle. He marched over to Kyle, got the design, and looked at me again. He seemed disappointed. ''Well, I was hoping for something a bit bigger. It’ll only take fifteen to twenty minutes. Are you a virgin?'' What? Was he seriously asking me such a private question in the middle of a shop? ''Hummm...'' ''Tattoo virgin, I meant. Have you ever had a tattoo before, Phoenix?'' he asked, obviously amused by my flushed face. I shook my head and he glanced down at the design again. ''Are you sure you don’t want your star to be filled in with red? It kind of suits your skin.'' I shook my head, not certain I wanted him doing my tattoo. I didn’t want to know the artist. It would be a lot easier, a lot less intimate, a lot less personal. Not that I knew Levi well, but I was nervous around him, and factoring in the location of where I wanted the tattoo – my nerves reached an all-time high. ''Are you sure you don’t want something a little bigger? It’s a pretty small tattoo.'' ''It's the only tattoo I’m ever going to get and I don't want it any bigger. This is perfect.'' ''We’ll see about that. Where do you want it?'' he asked, his eyes roaming across my body. I pointed to the exact spot where I wanted the tattoo, my eyes never leaving his. Being so close to him was challenging, my stomach was filled with butterflies and the need to touch him and get a closer look at his ink was driving me crazy. His gaze lowered to where I was pointing, a position just about my pubic bone. ''Okay, I see,” his voice husky. “You’ll have to lower your pants or I’ll get ink all over them.'' ''Don't worry about it. It's alright.'' I wanted to shake my head at my own stupidity. I’d already admitted he made me nervous, I didn’t need to sound like such an idiot! He smiled and it’s beauty surprised me - it was like seeing him for the first time. This was a glimpse of the real Levi – not the tatted up bad boy with cheap pickup lines. My cheeks grew hot as I blushed at this latest discovery. ''Are you ready?'' He offered me his hand and I took it, not knowing why, but I did. It was almost an involuntary reaction. Val was sitting next to Bekka and they both stared at us in disbelief, their gaze taking in our joined hands. This wasn’t normal behaviour for me and both of my friends knew it. He led me to his work area. ''I’m Levi, by the way.'' ''I know, you told me your name last night. I'm Nix.'' ''I know. You can sit down here and lower your pants for me. Don't worry, I’ll be gentle.'' He was trying to hide a smile, but I wasn't stupid. I knew there was a double meaning behind his words and his smirk was due in part to my obvious discomfort.
