Welcome to my stop in the HOTHOUSE FLOWER by Krista & Becca Ritchie Review Tour :D!
Title: Hothouse Flower (Calloway Sisters #2)
Authors: Krista & Becca Ritchie
Release Date: March 28, 2014
Genre: New Adult Romance: recommended for readers 18+ for mature content
Synopsis
Ryke Meadows, meet Daisy Calloway ... she’s all grown up.
Twenty-five-year-old Ryke Meadows knows he’s hard to love. With a billion-dollar inheritance, a track-star resume, and an alpha-male personality—he redefines the term likable asshole. But he’s not living to make friends. Or enemies. He just wants to free climb three of the toughest mountains in Yosemite without drama or interruption.
And then he receives a distressed call from a girl in Paris—a girl that he has never been allowed to have.
Daisy Calloway is eighteen. Finally. With her newfound independence, she can say goodbye to her overbearing mother and continue her modeling career. Next stop, Paris. Fashion Week begins with a bang, and Daisy uncovers the ugly reality of the industry. She wants to prove to her family that she can live on her own, but when everything spirals out of control, she turns to Ryke to keep her secrets.
As Daisy struggles to make sense of this new world and her freedom, she pushes the limits and fearlessly rides the edge. Ryke knows there’s deep hurt beneath every impulsive action. He must keep up with Daisy, and if he lets her go, her favorite motto—“live as if you’ll die today”—may just come true.
***Authors' Note***
Hothouse Flower is a spin-off of the Addicted series. Kiss the Sky is required before reading, and we strongly recommend reading the Addicted series before this spin-off.

My Thoughts:
This is the moment all ADDICTED SERIES FANS have been
waiting for. I know I was anticipating this moment right from the moment Daisy
and Ryke meet, and I enjoyed watching how their relationship developed in the
previous books.
I freaking LOVED, LOVED, LOVED reading from Daisy’s POV and
finally being able to get into her carefree mind. Just like Rose and Lily, Daisy
has her own issues and I think her situation is worse than Rose and Lily
because she doesn’t let anyone in, except for Ryke. Daisy is one of the
youngest Calloway sisters and she doesn’t want to trouble anyone with her
problems, because she believes that they will think she is not handling the
situation correct. This really made me emotionally connected with Daisy’s
character, because I know how it feels being the youngest child in the family.
This is one of the many things I love about Krista & Becca Ritchie’s character
that I have been able to connect with each single one of these characters in so
many different levels and different ways. Why did I love reading from Daisy’s
POV? Her character is so full of life that her carefreeness and wildness gets
to you. I felt like I was living all of Daisy experiences with her, and it was
nice to read a character that is so carefree about everything she does. Another
moment we have all been waiting for Daisy’s character is her finally being able
to stand up for what she wants in life! I can say that Daisy has come a far way
from how she was in the beginning of this series, and I just love watching her
grow and develop :D!
RYKE FUCKING MEADOWS LADIES :D!!!!!! Ok he is a bit of a jackass
and can’t speak a sentence without saying the word Fuck, but I just fucking
love his character. In HOTHOUSE FLOWER we also get to read from Ryke’s POV and
I was excited to be inside his mind, and see the world through his eyes. I particularly
enjoyed reading all his climbing adventures, because this is part of what
defines Ryke Meadows- adventures, not afraid to live his life, wild, and so
carefree. We also get to see how his mother and father have deeply affected him
emotionally, and how deep down he is just confused of what to think of both his
mother and father because he just doesn’t know if they want to use him like
they always have to cover up things. There is also one scene in the book that
had me shedding a few tears, because it was a Ryke and Lo brotherly moment that
I have been waiting for and I can’t say more without spoiling the book a little.
All I can say is that they both needed this moment to understand each other a
little more, and to just get rid of what they were holding back from one
another. After reading hothouse flower, I felt a deeper connection and
understanding to Ryke’s character. Now the perfect book boyfriend for me would
be a combination of Conner, Lo, and Ryke because these guys are just beyond
being hot, smart, and real :D!
The relationship between Ryke and Daisy has always been a
friendly flirty type of relationship from the beginning. They had an instant
attraction and connection towards each other, but the age difference -Daisy
being only fifteen and Ryke being twenty-two when they first meet – really stopped
them from developing any physical type of relationship, especially since she’s
Lily’s and Rose’s little sister. But there relationship goes beyond being just physical attraction, because they
have always been there for each other when the other needed some type of
support. This is another reason why I feel for Ryke, because he is so
protective of Daisy since he knows how bad things are for her, and the way he
takes care of her just makes me want to have my own Ryke Meadows pillow, wolf,
protector, and so much more :D! Like I said this was the moment we have all
been waiting for, and Krista & Becca Ritchie did not disappoint on how
things went down between Daisy and Ryke :D!!! Things between these two heat up
fast and it’s wild, passionate, desperate, hot, adventures, and I just needed
to fan myself more than once with all the hot make-out scenes and the crazy sex
these two were having. I just want more Daisy and Ryke because I love their
carefree, wild, adventures, and deep connection they both have in their
relationship. You just have to read HOTHOUSE FLOWER to know how hot and hot and
how much it was worth the wait to see these two finally together!
I read HOTHOUSE FLOWER by Krista & Becca Ritchie in one
day! It’s been a while since that has happened, and yes I have one of those
amazing book hangovers that you get when you just can’t stop reliving the
story. I loved reading how Daisy and Ryke’s relationship developed throughout
the series, and it was definitely worth the wait to see how it leads to them
finally being able to be together in HOTHOUSE FLOWER, even when all the odds
were against them :D! If you haven’t started this series yet then you are
missing out on one of the BEST NEW ADULT SERIES out there! I can’t recommend
this series enough to anyone and everyone. Krista & Becca Ritchie just make
their characters and story feel real, and I can assure you that you will find a
connection with one or all of these characters. I can’t wait to read THRIVE and
get more of these amazing characters :D!!
Final Verdict: 5 Stars

About the Authors
Krista Ritchie has a clone...or someone who looks exactly like her. If she's not writing books with her twin sister, she's pouring over entertainment news and ingesting copious amounts of pop culture. She likes tennis, that thing called the TV, and beating Becca (her clone) on Sega Genesis. She created YA Book Exchange to combat her book buying addiction and started Nawanda Files, a YA Book Blog that features books into movies news, to share her love for all things bookish. Oh, and she does something called science. Whatever that is.
Krista & Becca Ritchie write New Adult books that make you cringe, gasp, and go ooh-la-la. (If you do that sort of thing.) They are currently working on the spin-offs and final books in the Addicted series.
