Warning-

Broken. Battered. Not defeated. This is not a pretty story, wrapped in a nice package. This is a real story. Parts of this story are my very own. Defeated by the hands and words of a man, I am no more. This is a story of how easily the warning signs are overlooked. An outsider can easily say, “How do women stay in abusive relationships?” They don’t understand, it starts in little ways, a slow build up, by the time you are aware, it can be too late.

My Thoughts:

I no longer matter to anyone, or have any one important person in my life.

Don't Let Go by Michelle Lynn was simply incredible. I have to admit that at the beginning it felt a little bit like Deja Vu, because it reminded me a little bit of the beginning of Addicted to You by Krista & Becca Ritchie. Don't Let Me Go was a roller coaster ride for me from the very beginning and all the way to the end. I found myself caring and falling in love with all of the characters, except for Sadie's father, and the story :D!

I hate being alone; it only makes me relive my mistakes.

From the very first page I read about Sadie I thought she was going to be a sex addict or a girl that liked to sleep around. But Sadie is just broken from the inside and she uses sex to forget about her pain and loss. The choices she makes in her life after her loss haunt her, and she moves to a different school to try to forget about all her mistakes. From the beginning of the novel Sadie is insecure about herself, and has a wall up to keep people away from finding out about her past. We don't really know who she losses at the beginning of story, which really kept me wanting to read more to find out who she loss.
One thing I want to say is that I hated Sadie's father! What a fucking asshole. Who would say that to their daughter? I love that her mother and grandmother stood by her side and supported the choices she has to make in her life.  By the end of the novel Sadie's character develops into a secure, happy, and strong girl.

He brings feelings out of me I didn’t think I possessed, or could exist inside of me.

Just thinking about Brady makes me swoon! Brady is hot, sexy, funny, lonely, possessive, and doesn't easily let others into his life. What's not to love about Brady?!?!? Michelle Lynn delivers the whole package with this bookboyfriend! Brady is the lead singer in The Invisibles (who doesn't love a guy that can sing to you?), he writes songs, and he is mysterious. I was literally swooning over Brady throughout the entire novel. From the beginning of the story we know that Brady has a secret and only the people close to him know about it. We really don't know anything about his family or his past until half-way through the novel. Just as Sadie, Brady puts a wall up to keep Sadie from finding out about his secret, because he's afraid of what might happen if she finds out.

“I won’t give up. If you’re not going to fight for this…I’ll do it for the both of us.”

What a way to meet the guy of your dreams? I couldn't have thought of a better way for Sadie and Brady to meet :). From the beginning Sadie doesn't want to let Brady into her life, not even as friends, because she doesn't want to lead him on. But Brady never stops finding ways to get her to go-out with him. Did I mention that Brady made me swoon throughout the entire story? He made me swoon over the sweet gestures he had towards Sadie. Brady also made me swoon-scratch that-made me fan myself with all the hot sex and hot make-out sessions. I loved Sadie's and Brady's relationship. Even though they both have pasts and secrets they want to keep hidden from each other, they are able to overcome them by never letting go of each other.

"You are it for me. Game over. I’m yours…and you’re mine.”

Michelle Lynn delivered an unforgettable story with unforgettable characters. Her writing is just incredibly amazing that I was sucked right into the story, and felt connected to each one of her character in different ways. I can see myself re-reading this book :). I can't wait to read Grant's story in Let Me In :D!!!! Just by reading the epilogue I know I'm going to love reading from Grant's POV!

Final Verdict: 4.5 Stars

About the Author:

Michelle Lynn has always been a reader, but her passion has become a full-blown addiction since her husband bought her a Kindle for Mother's Day. She's pretty sure that he regrets this on a regular basis. Especially when she has it propped up next to the stove while she cooks, which often results in a burnt dinner. Or when he loses sleep because the glow from the screen wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the morning. He does agree, however, that she uses this gift more than any other he has ever gotten her. She joking counters that, because of some of the steamy novels she reads, he also benefits more from this gift than any other he has gotten her. ;)
Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.

Excerpt:

Kenna
Graceful under normal circumstances is not a word to describe me, drunk me is a hot mess.  The room spins around me as recognition of my words to Jake consume me.  I didn’t mean to let that slip.  Calm, cool, collected Kenna was who I was supposed to stick to, not blubbering heart- broken mess Kenna Jean.  I haven’t called him Jakey since high school. What the hell?!
Before I make it to our bed, Jake is pulling me into him.  The kiss consumes me.  I’m all slobber and tongue, I’m drunk, and I don’t care.  I want this man. I need this man, his love, his heart, his comfort, his connection.  He is my all.  There is nothing seductive or sexy in the way I begin pawing at Jakes clothes.  They are preventing me of being skin on skin with him.  He pulls away, leaving my mouth hanging open, as I’m still trying to kiss him.
“Kenna, I don’t love you enough, huh?”
Then he’s on me again, now with his shirt off and mine too somehow.  He’s got me, now completely naked, against the wall before I can think.  He lifts me wrapping my legs around him as he slams into me.  Oh my goodness, mother of everything good in this world, this is hard, fast, good.  Take me; let me die right here, because I am a happy freaking woman.  The pace is relentless and my head is spinning from my buzz and the euphoria of my building orgasm.  My entire body is liquid; I am at Jakes mercy.  He drops his head licking, sucking, and nipping at that sweet spot in the curve of my neck sending me over the edge.
“Not done yet, angel.  Drunk or not, you will know just how much I love you.” He growls against my neck, in that oh so sweet spot, driving me wild from the vibrations of his voice.
With that I am placed on our bed.  If someone asked me my name right now, my answer would be ‘ooooohhhhhhh’.  He is everywhere, all over me.  He enters my core again sending more aftershocks through my body.  He continues to slam into me at an insistent pace, I don’t know how he hasn’t gone over the edge, but I am certainly not complaining.  When he begins caressing and kissing my breasts, I am lost in sensation.  There is a gentle tug at my nipple before he comes down with his mouth sucking hard.  Through the pain I am sent over the waterfall again.  Damn, multiple orgasms are the shit.  I was a pool of liquid before, now I am floating in an ocean of emotion.
Jake seems focused, determined, like this is a mission.  I can read the self- control on his beautiful face.  He is trying to make his point to my body.  The only thought I manage to form is, for so few words, he sure has communicated quite well with me.  He slows, now every touch is deliberate and delicate as I am trembling uncontrollably.  He nuzzles my neck and shoulder as I finally feel his warm seed spread through me.
“I love you, Angel.  Don’t ever think you are not enough or my love isn’t enough.  All I am is for you, all I have is yours.”  He whispers.
I am unable to speak or stop the tears from rolling down my face.  I just nod my head against him in agreement. He kisses my tears away as he pulls out of me.  Turning us both on our sides, he holds me into him, my back to his front as I literally pass out.

Teaser:

I’m grateful when I reach the door to the ladies room that there isn’t anyone around. I reach for the handle when I hear from behind me, “Not going to use the men’s room again?” I know that sexy voice. It’s the same one as earlier this evening in this same area.
With my heart picking up pace, I turn around smiling sweetly, “No, I’m going to sit down and pee this time.” My smile spreads a little wider and I say a silent thanks to sweet baby Jesus for letting me find my voice this time.
He doesn’t respond. He just steps closer to me with the corner of his lips spreading upward.
I don’t breathe.
I can’t breathe. Not when he is this close.
God he smells amazing. Like a mixture of spice and mint. Maybe a hint of beer too. It's the type of scent that would awaken a primal desire within any female, and good God do I feel awakened.
“You ran off before I could thank you for the dance earlier.” No, thank you. His voice is a faint whisper and his face is now so close that our noses are almost touching. I glance down at his very attractive red lips just as the corners of his mouth move up into the most beautiful smile. Shit. He knows I’m looking at his lips.
I’m transfixed by him. In this very moment, I would do whatever he said or answer to any name he called; even if it was one of those fluffy names like baby or princess. All I can think about is the desire flowing through my body for those lips to be on mine. I would take him in this hallway. There I said it. Or, did I think it?
Do something.
Anything!
I look back at his lips.
I lick my own.
I can’t think about anything but wanting to feel his lips against mine. All thoughts go out the window of me not being able to pick up a man at a bar. I don’t care, but I will say any cheesy pick up line if it means I get to go home with him.
I know he’s watching me. He has to be thinking about my lips too because just then his tongue comes out licking his own. I try to think of something else to do, but nothing comes to mind. I feel him close the distance between us. He puts a finger under my chin for the second time tonight lifting my face so I’m looking right into his eyes. Without taking his eyes off mine he speaks in a quiet, low, raspy whisper, “I’m going to kiss you now.”
Without waiting for my permission, his lips crash down against mine. He takes my top lip into his mouth tugging ever so gently. I let out a soft moan as his tongue lightly traces my lips- tasting me. I can smell the fresh mint and beer off his breath and all I can think about is tasting it. I grab his neck brining him closer -opening my mouth- inviting him in. He groans as I wrap my arms around his neck running my hands through his hair.
Shit, if I die tomorrow, I can die a happy woman knowing this was my last kiss.
His tongue enters my mouth and I meet it with my own. He reaches down to lift me up and I let him. I wrap my legs around his waist just as he slams my back against the wall in the corner of the hallway. There’s a rush of pain that shoots down my legs causing me to cry out. He must take that as a cry of pleasure because he kisses me harder.
I feel my dress rise all the way to my waist exposing myself for anyone that walks by. My head falls back against the wall and he immediately starts kissing down my chin to my neck, then up to my earlobe bringing it into his mouth biting down. “Do you want to get out of here?” He whispers so softly into my ear I almost don’t think I hear him correctly. When he asks me again I just nod in agreement. Afraid if I were to say anything it wouldn’t be yes, and I really want it to be yes.
Setting me down, he runs his hands over my dress laying it back into place, then grabs my hand and starts speed walking away heading towards the red exit sign.

 My Thoughts:

Whatever power he had over me I just couldn't fight it.

Crash Into Me by K.M. Scott is a great beginning to a trilogy! It had everything you would expect in an erotic romance novel, and trust me when I say that the sex was HOT! I still keep thinking of the tie scene and the Venice scene- you will just have to read the book to know what I'm talking about ;D!

Whatever  it  was  that  I  was  letting  hold  me  back—fear,  mistrust—I  had  a  chance  to share my life with someone. I had a chance to not be lonely.

Our main character Nina Edwards is an Art History Graduate, and she is employed at a job that has her starting from the bottom ranks of her career- she is basically acting as caterer for an art exhibit. I seriously had problems with Nina's character. I didn't like her insecurities, outbursts, and fears that can relate to her outbursts. I do understand that she doesn't trust Tristan, because he is a stranger and knows so much about her. Who wouldn't freak out? But he is practically laying the world on her feet, and she is still feeling insecure and having fear outbursts. I was just not really connecting with Nina's character much.

He  wasn't  a  man  who  spent  hours  talking  about what was on his mind. He decided on matters and they happened.

OMG Tristan Stone ladies!!!! What's not to love about his man? Tristan Stone is mysterious, sexy, a billionaire, commanding, possessive, protective, and a man without many words. Ok the last little bit always did get to me. He would seriously just give one word answers or very vague answers. Like I said before, this man is giving laying the world down on Nina's feet. His only desire is to make her happy, and by making her in return he is happy. Who wouldn't be swooning over Tristan? Tristan might be commanding and have all the money in the world, but he is not happy living the life of a billionaire. He has suffered a great loss at as a teenager, and he is hiding something from Nina that might send her running out of his life.

I'd been foolish in not reading the entire contract, and now I was going to be forced to pay the price.

Once Nina signs the contract Tristan offers her, she is under his control for six months. Anything and everything can happen in those six months. By this contract their relationship starts to develop. At first it doesn't really seem that they are even in a relationship, but as the months go by they both start getting attach to each other. Their relationship is steamy hot sex with a little few sweet moments. Tristan has sweet gestures towards Nina, and these made me fall even more in love with him. But as everything starts to fall perfectly in place, K.M. Scott throws a little twist in the story that will change everything in Scott and Nina's relationship. Is this predictable? At first it's not very predictable, but after I read a scene it sort of clicked in my brain.

"No matter what you see on the outside, no matter what I say, what's in my heart will always be just what's there at this moment. You"

Crash Into Me by K.M. Scott is a great start to a series. The ending just killed me! Why did you have to end it like that K.M. Scott?!?!? I can't wait to read Fall into Me :D!

 Final Verdict: 4 Stars

Excerpt:

As I twirled around in front of the three way mirror, swinging the black skirt that matched perfectly with the grey see-through blouse, my cell phone rang. I didn't recognize the number, but I was in such a good mood, I broke my usual rule and answered it.
"Hello?" I sang happily to whomever was on the other end.
"Good morning, Nina."
My heart began pounding wildly at the sound of his deep voice. Tristan.
"Hello."
"I'm so happy you agreed to sign the contract," he purred into my ear. "Are you happy with my choices for you?"
I looked down at the clothes I wore and then around the room at all the beautiful outfits hanging there just waiting for me to love them. "You chose these?" I asked, stunned.
"Yes."
"Oh. I don't know what to say."
I didn't. It was all at once exciting and overwhelming to know he'd taken the time to come here and pick out clothes for me.
"What are you wearing, Nina?"
"The black silk skirt and grey see-through blouse. It's very nice."
"I'm sure you look beautiful in it. I want you to take it off," he said in a distinctly commanding tone.
"Do you want me to try a different outfit on and tell you if I like it?"
"No."
Confused, I did as he ordered and stood in my bra and panties, just as I had done in front of him the previous night.
"Okay. I took it off."
"Are you wearing only your pink panties and bra I saw you in last night?"
"Yes," I said with a smile as the memory of our time together flashed through my mind.
"Good. I want you to sit on the large ottoman in the middle of the room."
I did as he desired. "I'm sitting, Tristan."
"Good. Lean back and lie down."
I did as he ordered, loving the sound of his deep voice telling me what to do. "Okay."
"I want you to close your eyes and think about how it felt with my mouth on your pussy."
An involuntary moan escaped from my throat at the sound of his words entering my ears. This was the most he'd ever spoken to me, other than telling me about his plans for his house, and I loved hearing him talk like this.
"I love the taste of your juices on my tongue, Nina. Do you want me to make you come like that again?"
"Yes," I whimpered as I remembered his mouth on my body taking me to such exquisite heights of pleasure.
