My Thoughts:

WOW!!! Let me just state this for anyone that didn't read in the synopsis, that this is NOT a DARK ROMANCE! I was one of those people that thought it was going to be a dark romance because of the book cover and the title of the book, but it's NOT.

Willing Captive is the first book I've read written by Belle Aurora. But it won't be the last book I will read by Belle Aurora, because I just feel in love with her writing style! I loved the story, I loved all of her characters in Willing Captive, and her writing just captivated me.

Delilah Flynn is one of my all time favorite characters, she is witty, sarcastic, kind of tom-boyish, and sympathetic! She is a twenty-two year old women that is a prisoner in her own home. Her father is very protective of her, which is why he has her working in his company. I felt a strong connection with her character, because we share a few similar traits. Every reader out there will feel a connection with her character, because she is a bookworm :D!! I also love how Belle Aurora develops Delilah Flynn's character throughout the story, because you can see it happening before you eyes. I saw how little by little Delilah develops into the girl she has always wanted to be from the very beginning.

NOX!!!! Yup, it just takes me to think or say his name to make me swoon. Who wouldn't be swooning over such a hot and unique name? Nox is a twenty-eight year men who is in charge of the captive group that kidnaps Delilah. He is also in charge of keeping a close eye on her will she is in their hands. Nox has done a lot of missions, and he knows that it takes one mistake or misstep for all of it to go to hell. Nox character is bad-tempered, bossy, courageous, dependable, secretive, and he shows Lily another side that he doesn't let other people see (only his close friends and family). I feel completely in love with Nox's character! Throughout the story you get to know Nox's character, because he is well developed and pretty deep. It's like you have to pull a few layers to get to know him.

I loved Lily's and Nox's relationship! I guess I have a thing for angst romance. Nox's mission is to keep a close eye on Lily and treat her like he would treat any other person he would be in charge of, but it's not the case with Lily. Nox knows from the moment he kidnaps her from her home that she is going to be trouble in his life and in his mission. He tries his hardest not to fall for her, but when Lily feels the connection they have and acts on it, he knows he can not stay away from her. Lily on the other hand didn't like him that much from the beginning, because he kidnapped her. But as the story progresses she starts to put her trust in him, and she gets to see a whole different side of Nox, that he never has shown to other people. The connection between both Nox and Lily is that they've both been lonely. Now let me tell you that the make-out sessions and the sex are freaking HOT!!!! Lily is a very lucky girl to have a man like Nox by her side.

There are two more characters in Willing Captive that I completely feel in love with, because Belle Aurora made them lovable in their own way. Rock is one of those characters, and I loved him from the very beginning. He is witty, charismatic, funny, intelligent, outgoing, and he is another character that has layers. I don't know about all of you, but I love it when characters have layers. I love reading throughout the story and peeling all those layers as I read through the book. The other character I feel in love with is Boo. This is the girl you would want to have as a best friend. She is easy-going, funny, reliable, brave, and tough. Like I said before all of Belle Aurora's characters are lovable and you will find yourself feeling a connection with one, or all of them in different ways.

There are a few secrets that are unveiled, and one very explosive moment that turns the story a whole 180. Belle Aurora really caught my interest from page one and held it all the way to the end. I stayed up until 2:00 a.m. the day I started reading it, because I couldn't and didn't want to put the book down. I just didn't want this book to end. Belle Aurora delivers humor, love, lust, friendship, betrayal, and trust in Willing Captive.

  Final Verdict: 5 Stars

 Excerpt:

Walking over to the door, I close it, taking my time so as to not make a sound. Once it’s shut, I open the dresser drawers, take out a pair of simple white underwear and a matching plain bra, remove the tags, then step into the panties. As soon as I reach down to pull the panties up my legs, the door swings open. I see a scowling Nox, but when he sees the position I’m in, his scowl disappears to be replaced with a slightly gaping mouth. I’m mortified. But the look on his face tells me he’s possibly just as mortified. Maybe more. And I certainly got the results of my experiment. Forcing down my flush to no avail, I clear my throat and check my watch. Nodding with pursed lips, I say clinically, “Forty seconds, give or take. Not bad, Nox.”

About the Author:

Belle Aurora is twenty six years old and was born in the land down under.
At an early age she fell in love with reading. Boredom one summer had her scouring the bookshelves at home. She stumbled across Sandra Brown’s Breath of Scandal and fell in love with romance.
Having been brought up in a loud and boisterous family of Croatian descent, she developed a natural love for dramatics and humor. Only some years ago had she discovered a new love.

Humorous romance novels.

Kristen Ashley and R.L. Mathewson had opened a brand new world where she could lose herself yet feel safe and at home in their stories.
Belle has been known to become a screeching banshee while anxiously awaiting their newest titles.
Belle never thought she would write. It had never interested her until recently. Friend-Zoned began to form and in February this year Belle typed the words Chapter One.
And she fell in love.

With words.

With writing.

With a creative imagination she never knew she harbored.
