Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along :D! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week I will be sharing teasers from Sanctuary of Mine by S. Pratt, Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee, and Wanted by Kelly Elliott. I just couldn't help myself- I had to add a teaser pic for both Sanctuary of Mine by S. Pratt & Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee ;).

My Thoughts:

I may have come back to this farm house to escape my old life, but for the first time in a few weeks, I am kind of looking forward to the summer.

This is the first book I've read by Elizabeth Lee ( I have Give Me Something, but have not read it yet), and let me just tell you that I am a FAN of her writing. I loved reading from both Whitney's and Cole's POV. Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee was a fantastic read for my summer :D! This is one of those books that you can enjoy reading at the beach or outside in your backyard. Whitney's and Cole's story was just freaking amazing.

...all I know is how to care about what other people think.

Let me start of with our heroine in the story- Whitney. Ok, I had a few problems with her character at the beginning of the story, but towards the end she learned to stand up for what she believes. From the beginning of the story Whitney is a spineless girl, that can't voice her own thoughts on what she believes. Her whole life she has been dictated by her father and her boyfriend- they always want her to be someone she is not. Whitney is a pleaser person, she would do what others expect her to do or want her to do to make them happy. Girl this is so wrong! Now, when she didn't stand up for Cole- the moment her father meets him- I just wanted to slap her across the face. What are you doing Whitney? Her is an incredible guy that has showed you how much he loves you, and would do anything for you. What happens? The girl just seats there. But thank god she learns to speak her mind out, and stand up to her father. I seriously gave her some applause for this, because it was not easy for her. Yes, I learned to love Whitney's character and relate to some of the things she experiences in the story :).

I accepted the fact that the ticket I'd won was for a one-way trip to worthless—just like my folks.

OMG COLE!!! Alright this boy here is just a freaking hot mess. He is your typical bad boy that comes from a screwed up family- mom's a drunk and dad's been in jail. He got picked on a lot when he was younger, because his parents were just messed up. Everyone thought he was going to end up like them. But were these people wrong. Cole has a tough, cocky, bad boy, don't mess with me or I'll kick-your-ass exterior. But deep down he is a caring, loving, protective, and thoughtful guy. One thing that I loved about his character is that he does not beat around the bush, he is pretty much a straightforward guy. I love the fact that he is not one of those guys that just walks out, when you are having an argument. It made me sad when he thought that he was not worthy of Whitney's love, or that he didn't deserve all the good things that were happening to him. But that is just how his character is. He can be super confident in one moment, and the next he can feel so insecure about himself. This only changes towards the end of the book, but I could didn't pay much attention to it since I just LOVE COLE!

Aside from the obvious physical attraction, we balance each other out.

The chemistry between these two is just like magnets- opposites attract :D! You have your usual good girl (not all that innocent) falls for the bad boy. Just with there first kiss is was like wow. I have to say that I was proud of Whitney when she took the reins on that kiss (two thumbs up girl)! The physical attraction and connection between these two is just SPICY HOT! The sex between these two is amazing, and one of my favorite has to be the tree scene and the make-up sex ;). But their relationship is not all sex. Cole helps Whitney break out of her shell and grow a spine for herself. He is the first guy in her life to ever let her decide what she wants to do with her life, and let's her speak her thoughts out. On the other hand, Whitney brings out the better side of Cole that no ones really knows exist. She makes him into a better men, that learns to be confident of the things he does and be proud of his achievements. Really loved the relationship between these two :D!

At least now I know that I have something worth fighting for... literally and figuratively.

Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee was an amazing book. It is about two people who fall in love, and bring out the best in each other. Whitney is able to escape the fake life she was living, and develop a new life where she is able to express who she really is. Cole is able to escape the messed up life he had, and develop a new life where he becomes the better men that no one thought he could be. Thank you Elizabeth Lee for this wonderful love story :D!

Final Verdict: 5 Stars

About the Author:

When I'm not writing or playing the part of wife and mother, you can find me dancing back-up for Beyonce, singing back-up for Miranda, or sunning myself on the beach with a drink in hand.  Here's the thing about being born and raised in a small town—you have a very vivid imagination!  Now, I channel it all to create stories where the girl always ends up with the right guy, first kisses are magical, and a happy ending is just that!

Swoon Thursday #11: Undescribable, Playing With Fire, Darkness Deserved, Escaping Me

It's Swoon Thursday, hosted by  YA Bound. This is a weekly meme, which I will be doing every single Thursday :D! Here is how it works:

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog. We want to know!

I was so busy last week that I did not do a Swoon Thursday post. What does that mean? I read 3 books last week, and am currently reading 1 books this week. So I will be posting 2 swoons from the books I read last week, and the book I am reading this week :D! Get ready to COMBUST with all of these  SWOONS ;D!

Undescribable by Shantel Tessier:

Swoon #1:

My lips brush hers softly and she starts to pull her head away, but I hold her head still by her hair.
“Don’t,” I whisper against her lips, making her body tremble.
I continue to hold her lips close to mine as I let my eyes search her face. I can feel her breath on my face and it is intoxicating. “I’m going to kiss you. Just this once, please. I need to kiss you, Angel.” At this point I was not  too good to beg.
“Okay” she says against my lips breathlessly. “Kiss me.”
That is all the invitation I need.

Swoon #2:

“I know you said you needed time and space. I can’t give you any more space, but I can give you more time. I’m not asking for you to say you love me, or tell me you can’t live without me, but these last couple of days have been torture. I need to sleep with you at night. Not fuck, sleep. Me holding you, touching you, loving you. I can’t do without you anymore.”

Playing With Fire by Ashley Piscitelli:

 Swoon #1:

“I want to tell her how much I love her. I want to be with her, make her laugh, be able to be the one to hold her when she is upset. I want to show her how amazing she is and be the first person in her life to treat her like that. Every time she comes in a room, I can’t take my eyes off of her. When she touches me, sometimes I need to remember how to breathe.”

Swoon #2:

I crushed my lips to Carter’s and drank him in, like I needed him to breathe. The truth is, sometimes I felt like I did. He was surprised, but quickly recovered. He kissed me back with so much love and lifted me into the air.

Darkness Deserved by Jessica Spoon:

Swoon #1:

He pulls me to him and spins me around so that my back is to the door. He bends down and lifts me up so I have to wrap my legs around him.
He gets millimeters from my face and growls out, “Woman, you belong to me. I’ve been waiting a long time for someone like you and you are not getting away. Do you understand me?”

Swoon #2:

“I know exactly what I deserve and what I want. That’s you. You’re it for me. I’ve never reacted to someone the way I do with you. That… it’s… This… ‘pull’ between us isn’t something I can ignore. It’s too demanding. I'm not going to walk away. No matter what you say, nothing will make me give up on us. You think you’re only going to hurt me, but I know what I can handle and what I can’t. And what I can’t handle is the idea of never having you. Of not exploring this. That is a regret that I am not prepared to live with."

Escaping Me by Elizabeth Lee:

Swoon #1:

"Do you mind?” I snap, turning to tell him to back off.  But he doesn’t. Instead, he places his hands on the truck, catching me between his muscled forearms and pinning me between his delicious body and the truck.

Have you read any of these books? What did you think of my swoons?

Leave a link to your Swoon Thursday post, or if you don't have a blog tell me what you are swooning over in the comments :D!
