My Thoughts:

I look back at Luke and feel like he can either be my savior or my destruction.

I was intrigued to read Surrender to Me, because the excerpt at the end of Breaking Through the Wall caught my interest.  I haven't' read a lot of rock star romances but the ones I've read are different from Surrender to Me. I guess this is because Surrender to Me is a quick short read :).

I refuse to give someone the means to destroy me.

Rebecca Chase is quite, naive, shy, reserved, and has lived a pretty shitty life. I enjoyed reading from Rebecca's POV, because we get to understand the way she is because of the life she has lived. I thing that seriously drove me crazy about Rebecca, is that she trusts strangers too easily. This gets her in some situations that she could have avoided, and quite frankly the outcomes were obvious. What I'm trying to say is that these things were predictable. Rebecca's problems with being in any relationship with a men is her mother's fault, because her mother is a whore- no other way to say it. All of her life, Rebecca has been perceived like her mother by others- they think that she is easy. I did like Rebecca's character, but there were just a few things that I just felt like slapping her.

"I usually don't let people in very easily, except you."

Luke Masterson is possessive, controlling, hot, and has a huge trust issue. He is the lead singer in a band, and his trusts issues come from him being famous. All the people that are around him only lie to him because of the money he can provide them. Luke doesn't do relationships, because every women he has been with has been interested in his money and fame. He is also very protective and likes to take care of the people he loves. I also loved reading from Luke's POV, because we get to see his thoughts of the things that are happening around him.

"I know that if we choose to try this thing out it won't be easy, Becca. I'm willing to try, though, because there's just something about you that I can't stay away from."

Rebecca and Luke's relationship develops very quickly, like they have a quick connection the first time they meet. When they first meet, Rebecca doesn't know that Luke is a famous lead singer in a band. When Luke asks her out on a date she agrees, but once she knows that he is a famous lead singer in a band, she wants to back out of the date. But that doesn't happen. Rebecca and Luke develop a quick connection and have a hot relationship. The sex between these two is just crazy hot. But I loved that Luke wanted to take care of Rebecca, because she has never had anyone to look after her in that way. Of course there are a few people against their relationship that will do everything in their power to break them apart.

"....,love happens when it wants to, not when you plan it."

Surrender to Me by Ashley Piscitelli is a great quick rock star romance read. I read Rebecca and Luke's story in one sitting, because I just didn't want to put this book down. I wanted to know what was going to happen in their relationship, and what twists and turns it would take with the decisions they both were making. One thing Ashley Piscitelli loves doing to her readers is leaving cliff-hanger endings! The wheels in my head are just spinning like crazy trying to make my own predictions of what will happen next. I want the second book in this series now!

Final Verdict: 4 Stars
