My Thoughts:
People hope to touch the sky. I dream of kissing it.
I
Forever want to Kiss the Sky with Rose and Connor! I read Addicted to
You by Krista & Becca Ritchie last year and instantly became a fan
of their work. When I heard of KISS THE SKY I knew I had to read it. Who
wouldn't want to read a book with a setting of a reality t.v. show and
with all the characters in the addicted series? All I have to say right
now is that I am experiencing a book hangover right now.
I want to clarify that you don't' have to read the Addicted Series, because this is a spin-off from the series.
She gives all of herself to the people she cares.
Finally
a strong heroine that is sarcastic, intelligent, strong-minded,
fashionable, and has the attitude to smash any guy down. Rose is one of
my favorite heroine's I've read this year. I loved her cold bitchy
attitude, because this is just her way to passionately defend her
beliefs and the people she loves. As you all know Rose is a virgin, and
if you didn't' know now you do. But she's not your typical weak,
make-dumb-decisions virgin that we always read about in the New Adult
genre. Krista & Becca Ritchie made Rose a strong and smart virgin
that makes her stand out from the rest. Rose has a few problems in her
life, but she is strong enough to get through them. Rose's character
feels so real and this is something that I love about Krista & Becca
Ritchie, they make their characters feel real. There is not one single
thing that I didn't love about Rose.
He wears confidence like his most expensive suit, with style and dignity and so much charm.
Connor
has become one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends. Who knew his
outrageous intelligence would make him attractive and hot to me :D! Most
of the time I'm attracted to the guys because of their physic, and then
their actions in the story. Why? Because this is how most authors
introduce them to us readers. Connor has a problem letting others see
his true emotions, because he likes to be seen as a guy who is in
control of everything. When he walks in a chaotic room everyone notices
his presence and he gives and calms down. He is just the guy who knows
how to play everyone's games and he knows how to get what he wants in
life. I was instantly attracted and swooning over Connor's smart ass
attitude, confidence, dominance, strong presence, French dialogue, and
his skilled Magic Mike dancing.
I'm the king to Rose's queen.
Connor
and Rose are one of my favorite couples of 2014! I loved that both
their presence were strong in the story, and when they are together it
is just right in your face-in a good way. Connor and Rose take being
smart to a whole different level. They make being smart into sexy and
hot! Connor and Rose are very competitive and don't like to loss, which
is why their relationship is never boring. I loved, loved, loved their
French dialogue in the story. Now, the sex scenes were just HOT!!! I
don't know how many times I had to stop and fan myself. Thank you Krista
& Becca Ritchie for making Connor and Rose stand on an equal
grounds relationship.
6 people + 6 months + 3 cameramen + 1 reality show = infinite drama.
Even
thought this is Rose and Connor's story, the rest of the character's
from the Addicted to You series are part of the story. I loved the idea
that the characters are being filmed for a reality t.v. show. When I was
reading Kiss the Sky I actually felt that I was watching, yes, watching
a reality t.v. show being filmed. That's how real Krista & Becca
Ritchie made the story and the characters. I don't know how many times I
laughed my ass off, because there are so many funny things happening in
the story with all the guys and girls. I think now is a good time to
mention that I HATED, LOATHED, wanted to strangle Scott Van Wright. I
have never hated a character this much before. He is like a pestering
fly that you just want to smash. Rant over. I just thought this was
something unique and original in the new adult genre.
"Kiss the sky with me, and don't ever come down."
Kiss
the Sky by Krista & Becca Ritchie will leave you wanting to read
more! When I reached the end, I didn't want to believe it. I kept
scrolling and wishing more words would magically appear, because I
didn't want it to end. I seriously wanted to highlight the whole entire
book- that's how much I loved every page, every sentence, and every word
in this story. Can we please get a Rose and Connor novella? I kissed
the sky and I never want to come down from this
blissful high.
Final Verdict: 5 Stars
About the Authors
Krista Ritchie has a clone...or someone who looks exactly like her. If
she's not writing books with her twin sister, she's pouring over
entertainment news and ingesting copious amounts of pop culture. She
likes tennis, that thing called the TV, and beating Becca (her clone) on
Sega Genesis. She created YA Book Exchange to combat her book buying
addiction and started Nawanda Files, a YA Book Blog that features books
into movies news, to share her love for all things bookish. Oh, and she
does something called science. Whatever that is.
Krista & Becca Ritchie write New Adult books that make you cringe,
gasp, and go ooh-la-la. (If you do that sort of thing.) They are
currently working on the spin-offs and final books in the Addicted
series.
